Company party…
We packed it all in!
Here is our end-of-last-year/ beginning-of-this-year, highlights!
We spent Thanksgiving in Eastern Oregon with some wonderful friends, and this picture is the only family photo we managed to get.. Theo’s first Thanksgiving! π¦ He passed out during dinner..π

Even if it is a mirror picture taken by me with red-faced, messy haired and sleeping babes… the important thing is that I remembered to get a picture of us before the day had passed. π
Our girls had a super fun time together in the hot tub while it was cold and raining..

..and Theo was happy to spend time indoors giving kisses to his new girlfriend.. π

The girls even got to pitch in with some chores the next morning! βΊ Feeding the cows involved climbing into a huge loft and throwing it down to the herd below. They loved it!

Our friends, Ryan and Stacie, also have quite an awesome honey production business. They take care of beehives… which is so important! Save the bees to save the world, right?! πβ€
With the byproduct of beeswax, they helped us make candles to take home with us.

It was such a fun experience for everyone! Did you know that beeswax can be used in many ways? Here is good list.. 101 Uses for Beeswax, if you are interested. So useful and natural!

You can learn more and see some great pictures on their website, Sweet Bee Honey Company!
Ryan started the company when we were in high school and has expanded it to what it is today.
So neat!
Not only did we get to spend Thanksgiving with them, we were also there for Stacie’s birthday! π

We are so thankful for their friendship!
Once we returned home, our next event was the lighting of the town Christmas tree! Ours is the tallest living Christmas tree in Washington State.. woo! π²
The kids love seeing so many friends at our town events.

We did get a family photo… this time with a man right in the middle. π

Santa photos were quick, and cheap.. only $5! It isn’t an extravagant stage and background, and their outfits are just regular clothes for warmth. Honestly, I hated spending so much money and time standing in a huge line at the nearest mall to get a single picture hoping my kids look good while everyone watches eachothers kids freak out. To me, It just isn’t worth the money, time, or stess anymore! Simple works for us. π€

As a bonus, our Christmas season now includes a Children’s Talent Show that our girls looove to participate in. They choose to sing their little hearts out together. It is always too cute!
Here they are on their way to perform..

Ayla also turned 6!

So we took a trip to our favorite place to celebrate birthdays.. Great wolf Lodge!

Then, baking together to prepare for our guests.

We spent Christmas Eve with Nikko’s side of the family..

And then Christmas morning at home. We got them a TRAMPOLINE!! I have dreamt of having one my whole life.. so being able to give that to our babies was a wonderful feeling. Plus, I’m not too big to play on this children’s toy, so that’s awesome! A gift for the entire family.

Kylie loved her first set of legos! She immediately made herself a cute little train.

Christmas Day Dinner was at our house that afternoon.
It’s super difficult to get a group picture at the table when you are as close to the wall as you can get to take it.. π

The “big kids” had their own spot in the kitchen cause we were at full capacity!

It was Theo and his cousin Everly’s first Christmas.. don’t they look thrilled?! πππ

Taking a group picture of the cousins did not go as planned..
It never does though. All parents should know that. I actually like this picture, it makes me laugh everytime I look at it. I definitely want to remember reality. π

The babies didn’t cooperate so they were removed and the pictures continued.

Christmas turned out better than we could have hoped.
God is so good!
After having spent so much time planning for events, my dad decided to take his grandbabies for a day while Nikko and I went night boarding at Mount Hood Ski Bowl. Oh, how I had missed snowboarding!

We had a great day together, just us. β€
New Year’s Eve came around quick and we decided it would be a good time to check out the new waterfront along the Columbia River in the downtown area of Vancouver, Washington.
We took a walk and found some fun new things! Not to mention how pretty the weather was that day. It was still super cold, but it wasn’t raining! Woo!

That night we had our friends over to welcome in 2019!

And New Years Day is also my littlest sister Angelyn’s birthday, so we had a blast at Big Al’s bowling alley with our family.

Soon after, Nikko’s company party!

Such a fun night with friends!
A week later, Theo started walking on the day he turned 10 months old. π« Whhhyyy?!.. my babiest baby is too big already. I have to savor each second, he’ll turn a year old all too soon.

We are already preparing for Spring time by Kylie and Ayla attending a softball clinic.

We took our first hike of the year close to home. It felt good to walk in the woods again.

The little ones have enjoyed trampoline time while big sisters are at school.

Now the snow has finally arrived and we are loving it!!

So that’s it… our seasonal events, condensed. I feel ready for next season, how about you?
Change is good, but I sure am enjoying exactly where we are. Each day is a gift that passes too quickly.
May God continue to bless us all.

Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, βI am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.β
