The beginning of our next adventures..

With the arrival of snow… our winter fiiiinally feels complete!

πŸŒ¨β„πŸ˜€

Christmas brought much needed time with our extended family and many prayers were answered. ❀

The season is nearly over.

For some reason, I can never fully accept that winter is upon us until we see beautiful snowflakes covering everything in sight. It’s so pleasant, and makes you take time to appreciate the dry-cold instead of our regular rain filled wet-cold days.

We live for the “no school” phone calls that provide everyone with the opportunity to have a play-in-the-snow day. The best reason for cancelling school. Unplanned family fun!

And it’s here!! β„πŸ€—

Our littlest, Theo, has now experienced his very first snow!

And his second!! πŸ˜†β€β„

We got 7 inches overnight… Something needed to be built!

In the Pacific Northwest, we seem to appreciate the snow more than most since it’s so rare.

Everyone posts pictures on the same day at almost the same time, it’s just too exciting! We can’t contain ourselves.

When you have less of something, you tend appreciate it that much more. Right?

That’s obviously why I am always dreaming of sunny days…πŸ˜‰

I’m slightly obsessed with the idea of living in a place that enjoys more sunny days than rainy ones. Well, that… and living in a place that I have to learn another language. πŸ˜„

It’s all in our future plans, so hopefully God provides that pathway.

For now, the New Year has meant making plans for this year’s family adventures!!! My favorite thing to plan for! Eeeee! 😁

I probably should have been a travel agent because I honestly love planning travel schedules. The details, the searching, and the edited drafts that ultimately lead to creating a final, organized, tangible schedule is amazing. I get to be creative while learning about interesting places and the history of the people that live there.

So, this year we’re working on traveling abroad… πŸ˜€πŸ‘‹πŸŒŽ

Too caotic for a family of 6??

Maaaybe.

But after last year’s family roadtrip, (4,400+ miles with 4 kids) .. I think we are ready for more!

Being able to explore the world with our kids is our main goal every year. Travel changes perspectives. We budget with exploration being our focus.

I have heard that experiencing other cultures together brings you closer as a family, and I pray that’s true. I hope that closeness will continue throughout our lives. Gotta strengthen those bonds now! ☺

Valentine’s Day gifts from this mom will be all about preparing for the journey ahead.. I’ll make sure to share as we prepare!

I’ve got lots to do before we go.

Where do you hope to visit this year?

Wherever it is, May God make it possible. Pray about it. 😊

Say hello to adventure… especially with kids!

Happy Planning!

I’m off to enjoy the snow. πŸ€—β„

.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Mark 11:23-24
