Welcome to the blog, I just want to Say Hello and thanks for being here!
You should know how happy we are to share our life’s journey with you!
Do you know how you feel like parenting puts you in a whole new world?! ….yeah, me too. Everyone kinda forgets you… until they have kids… then you become a hot commodity! π
Anyway, this is our life through the eyes of me… Katie. I am the wife of Nikko, and we have 4 really awesome kids… (Sometimes they aren’t so awesome, but in public they do pretty well.π)
Our oldest is Kylie… or “Ky” for short. She is extremely stubborn and dramatic, but equally as smart, thoughtful, and artistic! She has challenged us from the beginning and made us better parents along the way. Being the oldest is a tough job, and not always easy because we expect her to set a good example… (Easier said than done, am I right?). She loves to do what she wants and isn’t always too happy about helping entertain her younger siblings… but overall, she is growing into a very well-rounded young lady.
Our 2nd is Ayla (pronounced “eye-luh”… because we said so). “Aye-Aye” is what she is usually called. She is a strong-willed little lady, but her heart can easily be hurt. Strong, but sensitive. She is a younger sister and an older sister, so she is constantly learning to be the big sister that she wants Kylie to be to her. So far, she is just as smart and artistic as her big sis role model and working on staying a sweet big sis to her younger siblings. She is also very sporty and has her own style, which I love.
Our 3rd is Giana… better known as “G”, or “Gigi.” This little lady has us all wrapped around her little pinkie! She can be the sourest of sour one second, and the sweetest of sweet in the next. Her nickname since birth was “sugar baby,” but now… she is clearly our “sour patch kid!” She is tiny and oh so mighty! When she became a big sis, she was rough and stubborn (She does not like to be told to be gentle with a baby.) Luckily, babies grow and now she isn’t able to dominate so easily. π She becomes a better big sis by the day and loves to help mommy vacuum the house (Woo!! #momwin).
Our 4th and final is Theo. He is a sweet little snuggle bear so far… and being the only boy with 3 big sisters is like having 3 additional little mommies when he needs love. His happiness is obvious by the number of kisses he gives. πWe are usually busy soaking up his baby-ness since he is growing so fast!
So that’s the kids, and now a little about Nikko and I… we are both currently 34 years old (I’m the older woman by 9 days π). We met while “speed meeting” during youth group at church. Yep, at church when we were 17… pretty neat, I think. (The link goes even deeper but that’s for a later post.) Nikko loves to be active and is always eager to learn and build new things. He helps my creative visions come to life around our home, and he is first to volunteer to coach the kid’s sports teams. I think he’s pretty great… he thinks he is too. π We live in a small town near the base of Mount St. Helens in Washington State, USA and I am very involved in our town. I love to plan, organize, and be crafty. Roller Skating is a love of mine, and we even have a “Club” that I am excited to share about.
We love our small-town life and all of the blessings that have come from moving here. God truly led me to the place that I needed to be, even when I wanted something else.
Thanks for being here, and feel free to Say Hello anytime!
May God Bless Us All.
